University John Hopkins supervises a strict ketogenic diet for kids with epilepsy-it works and they do not suffer other health problems.(very few may get kidney stones, and a supplement is given to prevent that) If this can be medically OK for kids who are growing it helps to understand that it is benign for the majority of adults as well Knowledge is the key, not guess work or following old school guidelines just to keep one's job
